I downloaded and installed myself, and they work great. Is anyone else seeing this problem? It recognized the adapter, however, I had to manually run Windows Update to download the driver.
My advice is to try downloading the driver through Windows Update before downloading it from unknown or dubious sources. If the Netgear WGv2 hasn't been supported in the past, it obviously is now. Tried installing the updates and didnt work. Proaudiosoft has NO drivers!!! All who said they did are just trying to get traffic on the site. Netgear does NOT support this device officially beyond Vista. They recommend getting a newer wireless device with official Win 7,8,10 drivers.

Howdy doodly neighbourinos, so im trying to use the usb stick adaptor from netgear "WGv2" and Windows 7 dont seem to like it much, tried installing vista drivers, and got the msg that they are not digitally signed. Netgear obviously wont have any new drivers for it, as its 2 yrs old. Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance : Brij. Wednesday, January 14, AM. Did you try to install the drivers in Vista Compatibility Mode?
Also upon booting did you hit F8 and select the option to not use digitally signed drivers? Not sure of that exact option title but it is something similar to that. This should allow you to get it working.

I tried those drivers from realtek, the setup wont install, just says that it dont work on this operating system, had to F8 it, and it seemed to work then, and managed toget on the net : now just gotta figure out the password to "local service" account so i can get cryptography service running again!

Well dang, I tried everything else to no avail, was trying to avoid it, but ended up getting them there too, grrr, gotta admit that not only is it working, but it seems to be faster than its ever been. I am running Windows 7 64Bit, ran windows update and fount the appropriate driver, once installed restarted pc and worked with no issues.
